I recently bough a T420s laptop with a Ericsson F5521gw WWAN card. The GPS function seems to be working, but it is a little bit slow in finding satellites. ThinkVantage GPS program doesn't let me choose any other GPS mode than "standalone". I have checked from F5521gw's data sheet that it supports Assisted GPS (A-GPS) function. Does Lenovo support this function or is there some other possibilites to enable A-GPS?

As far as I know, you need special software to support A-GPS. The Lenovo software supports stand-alone mode only. I suppose you can buy other software that uses A-GPS, but I don't know for sure.

Nope. I guess that many people either don't know about this function, use GPS in long duration sessions (like car navigation) so once fixed they don't have that problem or simply do not use GPS at all
