BSOD Error

Hi Guys,

This is my very first post on this forum so please excuse any inadvertent impropriety on my part, whilst posting this request for assistance.

I purchased a T450s in December 2015 via amazon.com and have been using it trouble free for 10 months. Recently I started getting a BSOD error every week or so.

I used BSOD viewer to view and capture the details.

I felt that there was an error with my WiFi drivers and hence proceeded to update them via Lenovo System Update. However, despite updating/installing the new drivers the update still shows as pending.

I connected with Lenovo service here in France and the service engineer remotely updated the drivers and he faced the same issue as the updates still reflect as pending. He was unable to resolve the problem and unable to explain the cause of the BSOD's.

I even downloaded the Intel driver update utility and updated the WiFi drivers that way, but the update still shows as pending within Lenovo System Update and the BSOD persists.

Other symptoms that indicate WiFi driver issues are weak/varying WiFi signal strength despite optimal signal on my other devices which use the same connection. Disconnection from WiFi every few hours.

I have done a Hardware Scan (Lenovo Solution Center) and the Wireless Adapter seems perfectly fine. The Lenovo support engineer also conducted a remote scan on the hardware and confirmed that this seems to be a software issue at the moment, but he doesnt know what it is.

My System Specs are as follows:

Lenovo T450s

Machine Type Model - 20BX001LUS

Windows 7 Pro - 64 Bit, SP1

Intel Core i7 5600U CPU

12.00 GB RAM

Under Warranty till 2018

Within Device Manager under network adapters the following are listed:

Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) #3

Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) #3

Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265

Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (3) I218-LM

Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter

Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter #2

I have even disabled the Bluetooth Adapters as I felt they may be contributing to the low signal strength. I have no idea why there are so many network adapters required and if they are even necessary.

I am not extremely tech savvy (incase you hadn't already noticed) hence I would appreciate any advice or suggestions that experienced users may have, with regard to solving this issue.

Thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy post.

Best Regards,

FD
