Battery dying in my T460s

2019-05-02, 16:32 PM

I've seen in another forum post that the battery is replaceable...

Is there any manual that explains how to replace it  and which battery models are allowed?

Thank you very much.

You can see any information regarding your batteries by doing the following:

type:  "CMD" in "type here to search" bar in windows 10

Then right click on it and run as administrator

Then copy and paste the following line:

powercfg /batteryreport /output c:\Energy_Report.html

This will generate a Battery report in your c:\  folder, something like this:

You will get the model, and serial number of your batteries and also the design capacity and the full charge capacity, this way you will be able to see how much life is remining in your battery.

And regarding the way to replace the battery, all you need is to remove some screws to have access to your battery. you can find some good tutorials in youtube.
