Built-in webcam & Windows 10 1607 (Anniversary) update

Are Lenovo built-in webcams working with the Win 10 1607 update?

My T440s webcam no longer works after the 1607 update to Windows 10. There is plenty in the news about that Windows update breaking USB-attached webcams, but I'm unsure if that is the cause of my problem.

It shows up as "Intgrated Camera" in the Device Manager, but the Camera app and Skype both just show a grey screen with a diagonal line though a camera icon in place of the actual camera image. The green light comes on when I try to use the camera - but no image makes it to the software.

Thanks.

Nope. (But thnaks.)  That did not change anything, even after a restart.

I'm now assuming everyone else's works and mine has a problem. I'll pick that up in another topic.

Based on your description "show a grey screen with a diagonal line though a camera icon" it sounds like Camera Privacy is turned on.  You can turn it off in Lenovo Settings -> Camera -> Privacy mode.

That might explain it. You can see the image in this thread. I guess that older driver (which solved it, as outlined in that thread) does not have privacy mode?
