Can't enter BIOS setup with F1 key

2016-07-25, 9:37 AM

Hello,

my Thinkpad is a T520, running on OS Win10, BIOS is 8AET51WW (3.1)

I can't enter BIOS setup of my lenovo t520. I tried pressing F1 with and without Fn, before and during pressing start button.

It seems that F1 key doesn't work at all. I tested it while win 10 is running. Windows Help should start, but diddn't. All other F-keys are working.

All Window- updates are up-to-date. According to Lenovo-Solution Center (3.3.003) all drivers are up-to-date.

It is really annoying. My laptop starts automatically every morning at 4:30 and I would like to enter BIOS and change relevant settings.

Any advise?

Best,

Gwin

I have run into this with a tablet.  On Windows 10 please try this.

Press and hold the shift key and choose the restart option on your laptop.  It will bring up your repair/recovery options.

Select "Troubleshoot"

Select "Advanced options"

Select "UEFI Firmware Settings"

Select "Restart"

This will take you into your BIOS settings.

I hope this helps.  Good Luck!
