I've followed the instructions in the hardware manual to the letter, but it won't come loose. I took off the cover to the RAM bay and took out the 10mm screw, but that didn't do it.
Then I found a website saying that I had to take off two 5mm screws, but that didn't do it. Finally, I took every single screw off the bottom of the machine, but even THAT didn't do it. What's the trick?!

Hello and welcome,
I never had any problems removing the keyboard on mine. Single screw under the bottom hatch, then push down gently on the top edge and slide it toward the display. That frees up the tabs on the bottom and it comes off easlily after that.

I've seen cases where the KB seems to "stick" to the palmrest, try to gentle insert a guitar pick or some thin object like an obsolete credit card between the KB and the bezel starting below the left Ctrl key, then on the right, closer to the right Shift key.
