Cleaning backlit keyboard

Hi,
I spilled a small amount of beer on my keyboard. The laptop is fine and I let everything dry. The problem is some keys are sluggish. I know the Thinkpad keyboards can be removed from the laptop and clean like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7za8WpqVbQ
However, my keyboard is backlit, so I am afraid that pouring 99% alcohol like in the video might affect the backlit system? Can I clean the keyboard the same way (aka pouring 99% alcohol and dry) or it will cause more problems?
Thanks,

Re: Cleaning backlit keyboard

I've rinsed my keyboards under plain tap water with no ill effects, but of course try at your own risk. I figure that with the increased complexity of the backlit keyboard, you might want to let it dry longer just to make sure all of the water is out of every nook and cranny.
