Cracked keyboard

My office purchased a T480 in June of this year (2018) after my old Lenovo motherboard died.  Today my E key split in two.  Upon examination our IT guy noticed five more hairline cracks on my most popular keys.  This is my third Thinkpad and I have never had a problem with keys.  I have not abused the machine in any way - have not dropped it or exposed it to extreme heat or cold.  The cracks are clearly stress points on common keys (E, D, L, S).  This is a horrible time for such a repair in my work, but at least it is under warranty.  Anyone else have this problem after 6 months?  Check your keys closely.  I didn’t see the cracks until my IT guy pointed them out. I also noticed my model has the only “unavailable” key part on key replacement websites.
