So I have a nice new T540p that was a replacement for the Twist that had some faulty bios issues. Now I'm having issues with this display as well as the Ethernet controller.

Here are the drivers if you need any more information please let me know. I booted into the bios to see if maybe there is a display option and use the gfx card for the internal display. For some reason everything is using the Intel HD chipset instead of the 730m. Is there something that needs to be done? There was a screen replacement done about a week ago. Is there a different display port to use the 730m?

Ethernet controller has never worked. I installed the drivers but I get this error message whenever I do it says there are no Intel devices connected.

Please let me know if anymore information is needed.

If i understood you right:

go to your system-settings. There you will find the settings for the Nvidia Controll-Panel.

und 3D-Settings you will find the option for your prefered graphic card

- choosen by system

- always internal (=Intel HD)

- always high performance (=Nvidia)

seems like the auto setting isn't the best.

I just finished my second benchmark with the SAME SYSTEM.  (results are 635 Points vs. 918 Points regarding to the 3D graphic.

Sorry, no idear regarding the Ethernetcontroller.

Only the standard procedere:

delete it in the hardwaresetting and search for new hardware. Also try older drivers. maybe they will work.

but as i mentioned: i do not have a concrete idear.
