Does T430 work with Intel N 5300 wifi card?

2013-05-31, 3:52 AM

I want to install a Intel N 5300 card on T430. Does anyone has such experience? Which type card should I bought? mini PCI or half mini PCI? Does 5300 work with T430?

Thanks.

5300 intel card won't work with the T430. The T430 uses half size mPCIe card.

Thanks for the reply. But how about the half size mPCIe 5300, I know there is such thing online.

For instance, this link http://www.amazon.com/INTEL-WIFI-533AN_HMWG2-HEIGHT-MINIC/dp/B001EHAHTM

I need to use 5300 for some research purpose, I also would like to use some updated hardware. Don't know if it is possible.

Thanks.

won't work with the Intel 5300 card (regardless of the size), there is a bios whitelist which prevents such card from working in the machine.
