My T420 has the 2100 error on HDD0 few days ago. I went to the IT help center and found the hard drive is completely dead. My original hdd is 500G seagate. So sad, all the music and good memorries are gone.
I have to update the hard drive. Any suggestions on the SSD? I heard i can only update to 160G ssd, is this true?
what is the best option for me from Amazon.
Thanks so much for your time.

Nope, there's no limit on the storage size of the SSD, as long as you buy a 2.5" model any size should work.
I have no experience with Amazon, but if you stick to the usual brands like Samsung Pro, Kingston HyperX, Toshiba, Sandisk and so on you should have no issues. Currently the best price per GB is in the 240GB/256GB range.

Prpb the SDD SATA Cable from China which disolves and shortens the mainbaord. Check the PICS. No the replacment of SSD or MAINBORD does not solve.
