Question

 

When booting up the laptop am getting error "C:\PROGRA~2\ThinkPad\UTILIT~1\PWMTR64V.DLL"

 

How do I fix this.

Answer

  1. Download latest Lenovo Power Manager from the support site
  2. Go to Programs and Features
  3. Look for Lenovo Power Manager
  4. Uninstall it
  5. Reboot the laptop
  6. Install the one which you have download from the site
  7. Reboot
  8. Done.

Hi - I tried to uninstall the Lenovo PM but then got an error - "The InstallShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be launched. Library not registered." 

 

What could this be? Any idea?

Hi,
I was able to resolve this error by making a copy of "PWMTR32V.DLL" in the same folder, and then renaming it to be "PWMTR64V.DLL" and it seems to have worked.  Thanks.
