F11 you must log in to access System recovery options

Hi, I am trying to do a Factory Restore on a T430s.

After booting clicking F11 and getting to the "System Recovery Options" window,

I click next at the "Select a keyboard input method:" (I leave it on US)

And, the next windows says: "You must log in to access System recovery options...Click OK to restart the computer"

What the HELL? It does not let me login. No Login form with Username and password!

How Am I suppose to login if it does not let me login?

Re: F11 you must log in to access System recovery options

I found the solution myself.

This laptop is part of an active directory domain and had 0 local users. Also, the local administrator account was disabled.

If I would have not been able to bootup Windows I would have been screwed. Because ,to do the recovery process using F11 you need to have at least 1 local account with administrative privilege and it needs to be enabled.

To fix my problem I booted up Windows and enabled the local administrator account.

Then, the F11 process asked me to login as the Windows local administrator account and the recovery steps started.
