Hi there guys,
You've pushed out a 18.104.22.168 driver update for the F5521gw card for the T430 but haven't updated the T420 systems for the same card.
The drivers from the T430 work on my T420s so out of interest why hasn't there been an update for us guys ?
Be nice to think we weren't being left behind, we aren't even barely a generation old yet !

Well I've been using the T430 driver for a few days now and I can say that it is more stable than the current driver we have for our systems.
They were built over 6 months apart, with the T430 driver still being built in December of last year
Our current driver : 22.214.171.124
T430 current driver : 126.96.36.199
Its not a lot of work to release a driver for our systems if it suits the hardware, the driver installs straight onto the T420s anyway (with F5521gw installed) - so why not push it out to our systems ?
The driver seems to me, to be more reliable at holding onto a signal and sustaining data transfers and not having the card just stop responding, so for me, regardless of the notes attached there is an improvement.
I'm also sure that between an 6.5 and 7.1 driver revision there are more changes than what Lenovo have listed, however as Ericsson only provide their drivers directly to the manufacturers I have no way of proving this.
Either way, if the driver installs straight onto the T420s and it takes someone from the driver team 10mins to check ith works on all the 20 variants then why not push it out ?
Doesn't make much sense to me.
