FHD Screen swap to regular T440?

I purchased the T440 and now realize I would like the higher resolution screen. Is the FHD screen from the 440s a direct swap?

I was hoping to order this guy:Here

Please verify if the FHD screen will work with the regular T440.

Also, I ordered without the backlight keyboard. Is there any thing else I would need to purchase besdies the actual backlit keyboard to have my keys lit up?

Finally, I have the 3- year depot warranty. Will either of these proposed upgrades void my warranty? Thanks guys!

We regret to inform you that FHD screen is not available for ThinkPad T440 only HD screen will be compatible.

And regarding the warranty it will cover only if the parts has been replaced with authorized service center. And damage to the system done by un-authorized service will not cover.

Note: We suggest you to replace the parts with our authorized Lenovo service center; we won’t assist the user to replace the parts by their own when the system is under warranty.

Does the t440 have a different video connector cable compared to the t440s? Or, does the integrated graphics on the t440 not support the higher resolution?

Next, I have no problem with my skills or ability when it comes to replacing parts. I understand that the warranty will not cover the parts I replace or issues caused by the new parts, however my question was does changing the keyboard or monitor panel void my warranty in total.

Here you state that the Innolux HD panel is compatible with the T440s:

In this thread, you state the same panel is compatible with the t440. This reasoning leads me to believe the video connectors are the same, as you specify the panel is compatible with both the T440s and the T440.

Now the t440 and t440s have the same graphics card: "Intel HD Graphics 4400 with docking connector"

So now my question is, what specifically makes the t440 incompatible with the higher resolution FHD panels?

You may be breaking new ground here and have to do some investigating on your own. There are pictures of the t440s screen and the connector, location... in a few threads. If you take yours apart you should be able to get a good idea if they look compatible. The site you listed for purchasing a replacement screen is where I ordered mine, I found their chat support to be useful so they may be able to help with your question.

Regardling the keyboard, that's an even easier replacement, the question is if your laptop has the wiring in place for the backlight. No idea on that one, but I can say there are two different backlit keyboards for t440s, check out the differences if you decide to buy one.

Regarding LCD cable it will not be compatible with both the T440s and the T440. It will differ for with camera and without camera.

Its all a lie from Lenovo, you CAN and I HAVE done it - replaced the standard display on the T440 with a Full HD Display, the no of pins etc is exactly the same and it works perfectly.

That link is to the process for swapping screens on a T440*s*, we know that can be done.

Well, that's the point, I did it with the T440! Following exactly the same instructions. And it works entirely. So the fhd auo display is compatible with t440.
