Feedback Request: ThinkPad TouchPad Buttons

Hello Forum Community,

Here at Lenovo we would like your opinion on ThinkPad product styling.  We would like your opinion on which touchpad buttons do you prefer?  There is no functionality difference between the two pictures below.  Let us know which touchpad style you prefer?  Please record your response via the survey link below.  Thank you in advance!

I like the left one. The simply uniform look is IMHO better.

I prefer the classical red striped TrackPoint buttons. A very nice visual connection with the TrackPoint and a design element that was present with the first ThinkPad already. Black and red creates a wonderful contrast. The  all black design looks cleaner, but also more boring.

Also, Lenovo already had all black TrackPoint buttons once with the T60 and subsequent models - it was changed back a few generations later.

Re: Feedback Request: ThinkPad TouchPad Buttons

I think the red line is more Iconic "lenovo" but if there is no functional difference I think you should just have that be an option when people order their laptop. Just like if they want a different cpu, they can choose a different color, especially on the higher end when people pay this much for a top tier product they should have the choice.

Prefer having the stripe.  To me at least it looks better.

Re: Feedback Request: ThinkPad TouchPad Buttons

I prefer the right photo with the red stripe but I could live with the all-black design.

However that's a trivial preference compared to my preferencerequirement for a TrackPoint and buttons. Take that away and you lose a 20something year long customer.

I agree.  Must have trackpoint.

Re: Feedback Request: ThinkPad TouchPad Buttons

Both cool - but it is the lack of sensitivity (and sensitivity settings) in Trackpoint since X1 that is the issue - I am afraid Lenovo will lose out clients here.
