I'm not sure how it is with Novell, but to make fingerprint working with Windows domain, you need to enable it first via Control Panel / Biometric Settings (or similar name, I don't have EN windows). When you run this applet, look on the left, last item from bottom should be responsible to allowing network login via fingerprint.

Hopefully this helps.

Re: FingerPrint Issue with Windows 7 Pro sp1 x64 with Novell Client 2 SP2

Thanks Chris,

But i don't see any option for network configuration in that settings.

I have just two options of biometric on and biometric off but biometric on option allows to select or deselect  "Allow users to log on to windows using their fingerprints".

any idea?

Re: FingerPrint Issue with Windows 7 Pro sp1 x64 with Novell Client 2 SP2

I had similar problem with new Thinkpad and domain logon, I searched and found this: http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkVantage-Technologies/Cannot-login-using-ThinkVantage-Fingerprint-sof...
So I thought maybe for Novell login this might be similar, but I haven't used Novell for ages so I really don't know if this applies or not.
Cheers

I think you should ask Novell how to integrate the fingerprint login into their software.  I personally don't know how to do it.
