Fingerprint reader stopped working - T430s, Windows 7

2018-09-12, 0:09 AM

Gents,

I have tried everything, unfortunately I have failed

Always received error code E7210005 for the sensor device cannot be found

I have ThinkPad T430s, product # 2355DA4 – BIOS # G7ETB2WW (2.72 )

I have read all the massage written hear before in this regard and tried all the solutions as far as I remember

I need someone from Lenovo to guide me how I can solve this issue

Thank you in advance for your support..

Is the text the same with the picture? If yes, at first guess, I'd say there's a group policy blocking you. Is this a corporate or personal machine?

You may try the following

1.) [Start]

2.) type "Device Manger"

3.) Navigate to 'Biometric Devices'

4.) Right-click on the fingerprint reader and select [Properties]

5.) On the 'Driver' tab, select [Roll Back Driver]

6.) Or uninstall the reader and then let the machine scan itself and re-install
