HDD to replace in my T410, how to create a partition recovery in the new one

Hi, the hdd on my ThinkPad T410 is Out of Order ( dead -- too much sectors are defective ), i decided to install a new one in my notebook as it is no more under warranty, how can i create the partition recovery by myself (as all thinkpad have in their factory configuration) on this new hdd to permit me to restore my notebook if any issue further occurs ? Thanks

Re: HDD to replace in my T410, how to create a partition recovery in the new one

Hi HonoRob and welcome to the forum!

ThinkPads also have an option to create recovery discs:-

Windows 7: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-74040
Windows Vista/XP: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-68317

Contact support to buy them if you didn't do so before your HDD went dead.

Hope this helps.
