How do you turn on Hardware assisted virtualization for a T510 Intel I5

I am setting up a T510 with Windows 2008R2 as a mobile demonstration platform and I want to run Hyper V on it. Hyper V requires Hardware Virtualization and reading through the i5 specs it looks like it is supported. Is this automatically enabled (I can see that Hyper threading is turned on by looking at Task manager) If not how do I turn this on.

Thanks

there should be an option in the bios menu that allows you turn this feature off and on.

Look in BIOS setup for Intel VT and Intel VT-d. You have to turn on at least VT. VT-d is not mandatory (it's for IO assisted virtualization).

Thanks for both responses ... as it turned out there was a bios update I had to apply and then it all worked fine
