How to connect the internet using verizon modem

I've recently bought T400 with verizon WWAN modem and I couldn't use it outside US.

Can it be done? (using the modem with simcard other than verizon)

Yes, Verizon has international support through Vodaphone (IIRC).  So they would provide you with a SIM (that does in under the batter, circuit side down, notched end out).   In Access Connections you should have by default two WAN profiles, Verizon Wireless and Verizon Wireless - International.  Change to the International profile and it should then use the SIM to connect.

Thank you for your answer.

I've all ready succeed on getting GPRS connection by my local SIM card.

I'll upgrade it (to 3G) in order to get higher speed connection.
