I have a pretty old T500 (2082-8WG, S/N xxxxx). Unfortunately the keyboard is broken and I have to replace it.

For this, I need to find SKU/FRU, and I just can't find them.

I have seen this post:

And of course I was on support.lenovo.com, entered the S/N ------. The drop-down list shows a suitable option xxxxx.2082, but when I select it, I simply land on the "Check guarantee" page:

No parts, no number, no options, no details, nothing.

I've tried this maybe 20 times.

Contacting support via "Contact us" also does not work. I have to enter the S/N and then the same story.

Does anyone have any ideas? Are there maybe some external resources to look up SKUs über S/N? I'm desperate...

I have also received the answer from the Lenovo Support.

Downloads for "old" products can be found here. I wish "standard support page" for  my model displayed this link. This would have saved me a couple of hours.
