I have an issue booting from an sdhc card.

I have Zorin OS v8.1 installed to my (Sandisk 16GB) SDHC, and from what I can tell, my computer (t420) can't boot from it. Is there possibly a way around that?

Reassign the reader as a usb.  Easy peasy.  I do this almost weekly when I need remote admin rights.

The built-in card reader is attached as PCI-E, which is unbootable without fancy footwork. Use a USB reader as stated.
