Intel Turbo Memory + SSD = Trouble?

I completely forgot that I ordered my T500 with this option. I recall reading somewhere that having an SSD (which I do) does not necessitate the use of this feature (2GB cache) and might even be harmful. Is this true? Getting an edge on performance however possible is always a good thing in my opinion and if it doesn't harm / hinder performance, I might as well utilize it.

Insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Intel Turbo Memory + SSD = Trouble?

Assuming the SSD does not conflict with the Turbomemory drivers I do not see a reasy why it would be required to disable this feature.   However, it may not yeild as much performance improvement as it would on a typical HDD.   I have used an SSD in my T500 and never disabled my turbomemory without any issues.

Keep in mind I have never experienced any issued with turbomemory as some users have seen, and it does in fact increase the performance of my system quite dramaticly.
