Intel Wireless 5300 AGN BSOD on Windows 7 when under load

2009-11-07, 16:15 PM

I wondered how many others were having problems with their T500 on Windows 7 using Wireless N on an Intel 5300 card. After a lot of data has been transferred over the wireless (possibly 2GB - i.e. the 32 bit number boundary?), the machine crashes with a BSOD. Analysis of the minidump shows it's the Intel Wireless Driver (NetW5s64.sys) - and this is the very latest version ( both on Lenovo support and Intel Support. Note I also saw the same problem when running 32 bit Windows 7 (NetW5s32.sys), and I've also seen reports of this problem on Dell's and Toshiba's with this card inside.

Anyone at Lenovo have a clue if Intel are aware of the problem and working to fix it? Have others seen this problem?
