I bought my T500 in March 2009 and I am going to be using it throughout college. For the last month or so, my computer will randomly dump me off the internet and it's getting very irritating. I have the Intel 5300 AGN wireless adapter in here and it was factory installed. Every two to four minutes, my internet connection will break and when I click my little "network" / "connection" it will tell me that "Windows cannot find any wireless networks." I run Windows Network Diagnostics and one of the repair options is "Turn on wireless capability", and so I do. Then, in another few minutes, the process repeats itself. I know that I do not have a virus on my computer, and I know that the problem is not my router--every other computer in my house works just fine. I've looked on other forums and apparently the 5300 AGN is notorious for being a pain in the ___...
Oh, and I'm running Windows Vista 32-bit Home Premium.

Try repairing the "Intel Proset/Wireless Wifi Software" in the Control Panel Programs and Features
Click on the Name and you will get the option to Repair.
Also check your Event Viewer for any errors.
Start > Run > Eventvwr

Try downloading the latest driver that is supposed to fix random drops.
Any errors in the Event Viewer?
