I often use laptop top in low-light conditions and i`m tired of constantly pressing fn+space combination to turn light on.
Is there any way that turns backlight on automaticly when starting laptop?

The same question was asked in the W series board, I unfortunately don't think the answer is the one you are looking for; the systems use the same keyboards

Since there is no ambient light sensor on my T440s to automatically turn the keyboard backlight on and off, it would be nice if we could at least get a setting to leave the light on all the time. The existing method turns off the backlight far too frequently considering that I need to manually turn it back on.
As far as I can tell there is currently no way to do this, but please consider adding it in a future software revision.
