Lenovo SSD Firmware

2019-07-04, 12:38 PM

Hello,

we have some T440p/T540p with Intel SSDSC2BF240A5L SSD. Firmwareversions are LT2i and LT6i.

We would like to update these Firmwares to the latest version.

FWSD48 (https://support.lenovo.com/ro/en/downloads/ds038904) seems to be the latest. For our SSDs the FW-Version (Reference Readme) is "LUSi" which seems to be newer than LT2i/LT6i.

But the Tools says that no newer FW is avaiable neither for LT6i to LUSi nor LT2i to LUSi, even not for LT2i to LT6i.

What can we do?

Thank you in advance.

Regards

LT2i and LT6i are firmware versions for Intel TempleStar.  LT6i is the latest version for these drives.  LUSi does not apply to them, because it is for the Intel TempleStar Refresh, which is a different drive.

So the only problem you're having is why LT2i is not getting updated to LT6i.  Can you please show me the screenshot of the SSD firmware update utility where it shows the drive model number and the current firmware version (LT2i), and no update applicable?

Ok,

thank you for clarification. It is a little bit confusing, that same model numbers have different hardware with different firmware.

The issue with LT2i to LT6i has been settled. Our Tool was using wrong firmware tool. Firmwareupdater for T460p instead of T440p.

Using the right updater gives me the option to update LT2i to LT6i.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards
