Re: Lenovo SettingsDependency - Power Manager fail to install on T410 Win 8.1

Hi,

Lenovo Power Manager doesn't support systems under win8. But Power Management Driver is needed anyway.

Regarding Settings Dependency Package read this KB article:
https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Windows-8-Knowledge-Base/What-does-quot-Lenovo-Settings-Dependency-Pack...

As you see, you'll need Metro app Lenovo Settings also:
http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/3078e868-a336-4a13-af40-8f37982cf591

Why not to use Lenovo ThinkVantage System Update for Lenovo drivers and sw downloading and installation?

Re: Lenovo SettingsDependency - Power Manager fail to install on T410 Win 8.1

Hi,

thank you for replay.

I had to do an w8.1 OS refresh to fix that problem, and after I installed Lenovo SettingsDependency successful I found that having to install an must have app from MS Store to control Power Manager of that laptop is again a really really bad idea from Lenovo.

To install Power manager sw I had to make an MS Store account and I found that somebody from another country already used that email to make an MS Store account... not a surprise considering increasing hacking activity these days.

Any way after recoverin the account/email I installed Lenovo Power Manager appx just to have a complete image of how Lenovo think for the future... not good.

Big disappointments... now login is online and I can access this computer account from network only with that MS online login... what a joke.

Deleted w8.1 and I am now back on w7 on Lenovo laptops and I can say on my networks goodbye Lenovo ... welcome Dell / HP (again).

p.s

network firewall ( proxy guard ) is full of logs from Lenovo devices ( blocked ) trying to access without user consent Lenovo c&c home servers... again not a big surprise.
