Lenovo System Update bricked my T440p

I just ran Lenovo System update on Thinkpad T440P and it proceeded to install updates and rebooted.

It never woke up again.

Laptop was on power, and left on for about 40 min. after reboot.

It powers up, LED on the power button is green, HDD spins up, CPU fan is working, but the spash screen doesn't display.

No beeps, no HDD activity...

Can somebody help?

Re: Lenovo System Update bricked my T440p

Hello,

If I got this right you are not able to see anything on your display at all?

Have you tried an external monitor?

Let me know.

Thank you for replying!

Yes, I tried both VGA and miniDP - no picture at all.

Re: Lenovo System Update bricked my T440p

Also, I tried removing HDD, ODD, RAM to no avail.

When powered up without memory I hear error beeps (three consecutive, pause, then longer one, I'not sure).

Re: Lenovo System Update bricked my T440p

Operating system was Windows 10 1903

All I remember was it was installing BIOS update, Intel management firmware, Lenovo hotkey driver and something else...

I don't know what was the version of BIOS prior to update, but I asume version that was downloaded (and installed?) was 2,53.
