Lenovo T430 battery fast wear

2019-03-27, 1:44 AM

I replaced the battery of my T430 two months ago. I have not used it too much, it has got maximum 10 cycles in it. Now programs like aida64 tells that the designed capacity of the battery is 86580 mWh and its fully charged capacity is 80090 mWh. The laptop has been reinstalled since the battery changing.

So, now the battery is 7% worned. But if we look at the real designed capacity (93600 mWh after the first charge) it is 14%.

Isn't that wear too high after 10 cycles? Should I send the battery back to the shop where I bought it?

Yes.  That is too fast.  Many of the batteries sold for machines that are not new are fakes and are often just junk.
