This machine definitely performs well, but I'm now running in to a few seperate issues. #2 is the big one, but I want to throw #1 in here
1. When I reboot the machine or wake it up from sleep mode, it takes a good minutes to boot up (frozen at the Lenovo splash screen). My X1 boots in seconds. Anyone know why this would be?
2. Screen/Display issues - Here is the biggest issue. The screen is extremely blurry/yellowish and not crystal clear and white. Anything with a white background appears off white. Anything silver (for eg, the default layout for Outlook 2010) appears as dark grey. My eyes literally bleed when I try to read emails and go through things due to the blurry issues and nothing appearing clear. I never noticed these issues when buying the laptop bc no programs were installed and everything appeared to look normal, until I started installing all of my apps and began noticing these issues and sitting it next to my X1. My X1 carbon did not have these issues. I also run a T440 at work and this machine is also crystal clear, just like my X1 Carbon. I run Win 7 on the T440 and Win 10 Pro on the X1 (same OS as the T460S). I read the thread on the Win 10 forum and I don't think it's a windows issue. I have this machine connected to a secondary display monitor and everything appears perfectly fine on this monitor. If I drag anything across, it's all crystal clear.
Things I've done:
1. Played around with the Display settings. Brightness is maxed out, anything less, is worse. Scale and Layout - 150% and 1920 X 1080 (both recommended settings). I booted up my X1 and checked the settings and it was set to 100% and 1600 X 900. I updated the settings. The blurryness is now not so much in my face because everything has shrunk, but now I'm squinting a bit more. I don't really mind the size though, but the blurryness issues did not improve.
2. Intel Graphic Settings - I compared my X1 to the T460 and all of the settings match.
3. Drivers - I tried two different sets of graphic drivers, no change or improvement with either. I have an Intel HD Graphics 520 adapter.

4. Property adjustments - Some people suggested the below but I dont see this option in my settings:
1) Right click on the application you want to correct the fonts of, select Properties
2) Go to Compatibility tab.
3) Under Settings section, check Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
4) Apply and close the window.
5. Registry hacks - I'm not familiar with this so I didn't touch it, but I believe it does the same as the scaling options from 100-125-150%, maybe this thread is dated where these options weren't available before. Should I try it?
If you're already comfortable with the registry, go to HKCU>Control Panel>Desktop and change the Win8 scaling key to "1" and add a new key "LogPixels" with a value 78 (which changes the windows default of 96 pixels to 120 pixels). You shouldn't need all of the compatibility fix stuff after this.
I found the Win8DpiScaling key but when creating the new key, is it a string value, binary, DWORD, etc? ALSO THE VALUE OF 78 is this decimal or hex value?
6. Performance Options- I changed "Let windows choose whats best" to "Adjust for best appearance" - No change
I'm done trying to figure this out on my own, I figured I would post this. I'm pretty disappointed, I just went from issues with one Lenovo to seperate issues on another. Could this be a defect with the monitor which requires repairs by Lenovo? Does anyone have any recommendations at all which I haevn't tried?

I actually already have it at 100% now and it's a bit better than 125/150 because the screen is now zoomed out, but clarity is still the same.
I spent a good half an hr trying to adjust the brightness/contrast/hue/saturation but I can't find a combination which improves the overall look. I don't have a gamma slider. There's an option to do a custom resolution but I don't want to break things, so I haven't played around with this yet.
My screen brightness is already at 100% maxed out.
I wouldn't describe it as grainy or speckly. The best term would be dull, very soft color, no vibrant picture or clarity in the text. When I line it up side by side with the X1 carbon, the color, bakground and text is very clear and vibrant, on the T460 it's blurry, dark and harder to read..it's not easy on the eyes one bit and gives me a headache even looking at it. I have a 22" LCD monitor connected to my T440 with VGA and even this VGA connection on the external monitor is clearer and more crisp (maybe bad comparisson).

Yes, I found it after searching. I made some minor adjustments to the gamma (darker) and I lowered colors green and red just a tad. This helps ever so slightly.
I checked the link, I didn't see any flickering on the screen from any of the boxes, so this might not be the issue.
I have Outlook 2010 as an example (exact same program) installed and open on the T460 and on the X1 carbon, both laptops are side by side and it's literally day and night difference. Is this normal? Did I buy a lemon off someone? Should I service it with Lenovo or is their any other suggestions you can think of?

There won't be any flickering if everything isn't 100% scale/zoom. It's possible that there is no pixel walking at all (which is good).
About Outlook 2010, you mean the colour of screen elements is different?
Does a colour test image (like http://scientific.datacolor.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/DTAC017_Half-Centimeter-smaller-Target_R3... ) appear significantly different between the machines?
EDIT: One other thing: Make sure Paper Display mode (if it's installed) wasn't accidentally enabled.

Thanks again! I will check that mode, when I get my laptop back early next week. I got fed up and brought it to a Lenovo service center before the long weekend begins.
They're going to swap out the screen for me and see how it goes. If the issue persists, the board will be swapped out.
I'll keep the thread updated to ensure everyone is informed of the outcome!

I promised an update...here it is.
The LCD screen was replaced, but nothing changed.
My investigation is over though. It turns out, this laptop which I bought off kijiji/craigslist, is stolen and the police is confiscating it from me tomorrow. I'm now out all the $ I paid for it...trying to figure out how to handle this situation right now and cleaning my data off it.
