Lenovo T460p | Is it possible to upgrade 1080p panel to 1440p ?

2017-12-26, 21:02 PM

I am a Photographer. The T460p with my current 1920*1080 panel just covers after calibrating 37 percent of the Adobe RGB. The T460p is sold by a 2560*1440 panel which covers until 70 percent of the Adobe RGB is perfect. I don't want to buy a new Notebook so I would like to change the panels.

My current panel LGD0521 (LP140WF6-SPB4) got a 30 pin connector.

The 1440p panel 00HN878 has a 40 pin connector. So does not fit. But if ich replace the 30 pin cabel (01AV916) to a 40 pin (01AV915) cable it should work in my point of view. Or do I have to replace more than just this two parts?

Is there anybody how knows something or got excpirience in this kind of problem?

Thank you
