My T500 just got out of warranty and got a blue screen error. The Windows XP is inaccessible with a hal.dll file missing.I had got this machine loaded with XP to be upgradable to Vista.So the recovery CD's are for Vista. I have been working on XP and did not (please do not say I told you so)make a set of recovery CD's for XP.
Now I am unable to access Thinkvantage to restore the system to factory settings.
