Version 188.8.131.525 of the finger print reader software. Everything was working fine before the udpate now it pops up a box after the finger swipe that says "Computer Name Invalid" and it doesnt log you in. I have to use my manual password to enter the computer.
Anyone else having the same problem or know of a solution?

I have the same problem, but it doesn't happen after a restart. It only happen when i resume from standby (never tried hibernate). If i restart the AuthenTec Fingerprint Service it's working fine until the next standby/resume. Since i use standby/resume all the time it's a bit annoying. I had a similar issue with the previous version of the fingerprint software, but it only happened sometimes. With the new version it happen every time i resume from standby.
Not sure why it happen....if there is some conflict with some other software i use, if it's because my computer is member of a domain and the account is a domain member, problem with the hardware or just a bug in the fingerprint software. I tried to uninstall, reinstall, delete the fingerprints and lot of other things without success. So i been looking for version 184.108.40.206 or 220.127.116.11, but for some odd reason Lenovo doesn't keep any of the previous versions available for download.

I can confirm your problem. Fingerprint Authentication was working fine (no problems at all) until update to the most recent version yesterday (18.104.22.1685) though on a X301 Thinkpad.
I didn't change or update anything else. Meanwhile I tried to reinstall the software. No changes to the problem. After a reboot the authentiation works perfect but after a standby the same error message box appears (computer name does not exist)
It has to be a problem with the fingerprint software.
Does anybody have a resource where we can get some older release?

It took me some time to find the links, but i finally found it. Since it's to be found on the Lenovo/IBM download servers it's a shame Lenovo does not publish the link to download previous versions for those that have problem with the latest version. I know HP give you the option to download the previous version from their website.
Version 22.214.171.124 (64 bits version):
Version 126.96.36.199 (32 bits version):
Version 188.8.131.52 (64 bits Version):
Version 184.108.40.206 (32 bits Version):

I am having the exact problem after my X301 resumes from sleep. I wish Lenovo spent a little more time on quality control before releasing these drivers. I am still waiting for a resolution to the Verizon WWAN and Access Connection problem, which makes connectivity using the WWAN a real pain. Have heard nothing for well over a month even though the problem has received numerous postings in various forums.

The solution for the fingerprint reader problem is to download version 220.127.116.11 using the link posted in this thread which is working much better then the latest version.

I'm having the exact same problem here with a Thinkpad X200 Tablet, running Windows Vista 32 bit (not sure what edition).
I'm about to try the older software solution, will post back with results.

I tried a clean install of the latest version and manual cleanup, but still had the same problem with the latest version. The only solution for me is to use the previous version. I only had a problem after standby/resume though (never tried hibernate so maybe that's working fine).
