Please let me disable my PgUp and PgDown

2013-03-22, 9:59 AM
Hi!

I just got myself a new T530, and I like almost everything about this machine, except: the PgUp and PgDn keys that are placed right by my arrow keys. I always hit either the PageUp, or the PageDown key when I'm in text-editing using my arrow keys. This is extremely annoying, cause I loose my cursor location when I accidentally hit the PgUp or PgDn key. Is there anyway that I can tell the Lenovo that I only want to use the PgUp&PgDn when I'm holding the Fn-key?
Or is it possible to just disable the PgUp&PgDn key? Cause I really ain't using them so much that I will miss them..

Cheers,

Re: Please let me disable my PgUp and PgDown

If someone was wondering, I used the following AutoHoyKey-script to disable the PgUp and PgDown key.

Now I must press the Ctrl+PgUp or Ctrl+PgDn to scroll :)

Cheers, Thomas

#NoTrayIcon ;hides the tray icon
#UseHook ;starts the hook process

^PgUp:: ;register Ctrl+PgUp
send {PgUp} ;sends the PgUp '
return

^PgDn:: ;;register Ctrl+PgDn
send {PgDn} ;sends the PgDdown-key
return

PgUp:: ;disables the PgUp key
return

PgDn:: ;disables the PgDn key
return
