Problem with Recovery Drive (Q:) --- PLEASE HELP

Hello All,

Some important files of my T410 Recovery Drive Q: (LenovoQDrive.exe, autorun.inf,...) were deleted by an anti-virus, and now the icon of this drive has change and is similar to other drives; also it does not open whit double-clicking. Can anybody send me these files or have another solution?

Thanks a lot!

Re: Problem with Recovery Drive (Q:) --- PLEASE HELP

Check under Disk Management or other partitioning software to see if the partition is still valid and readable. It may also be necessary to force a CHKDSK Q: /F /X to release the drive.

Which anti-virus are you using? Kaspersky doesn't register anything on Q: as malicious for me.

Re: Problem with Recovery Drive (Q:) --- PLEASE HELP

Hey you should firstly make recovery media using R&R tool. You will see, if this tool is able to do it (then Q is OK) or not. And if it is able to make recovery media, then you can just delete Q partition, because you can recover anytime using or recovery media, or regular backup image.

Re: Problem with Recovery Drive (Q:) --- PLEASE HELP

A use a simple USB disk cleaner (AUTORUN remover) and it removes these two files. The partition can be opened in the left pane of the Windows Explorer, but it does not open when double clicking.
Now there are only 3 folders in this drive: FactoryRecovery, System Volume Information, and $RECYCLE.BIN.

I wonder if re-copying the removed files from another T410 could solve the problem.
