Replacement Body Parts for Thinkpad

2018-10-26, 1:16 AM

I have a T470s Thinkpad.

The portion of the PC that covers the air vent on the leftside of the PC is cracked. I was wondering if anyone knows where I could locate a replacement part for this? It looks like I will have to replace the entire top portion of the PC as it's all one piece. Would I be biting off more than I can chew trying to replace this myself?

The damage can be seen in the attached photo.

It looks like a keyboard bezel assembly.  Choose "mechanical assemblies" on the left side column.  See below links for parts lookup and hardware maintenance manual(hmm)

If you were taking EVERYTHING apart except the screen assembly, the last part you would get to is the keyboard bezel, which is the piece you are asking about.  You remove the bottom cover, all the interior parts, the screen assembly and the keyboard.  The part number depends on whether you need black or silver, or if you have a fingerprint reader.
