Replacement Power Cord for ThinkPad 440T

Original has been lost. Is there a model number/part number that I need in order to ensure that I get a proper replacement? Please advise.

I assume you mean ThinkPad T440, your location is USA.

You might purchase Lenovo original US, Canada and Mexico power cord for AC adapter, FRU 42T5008, 42T5093 etc. Actually it's standard cord with 2-pin IEC 60320 C7 plug:

There are several choices.  That model same with 45, 65, 90 or 135W adapters depending on options.  Also, there are many models with equivalent adapters with different part numbers.  You might enter your serial number here and see what it shiped with:
