Rollback Lenovo Power Managment Driver on T460s

2020-01-29, 12:19 PM

I need to rollback the newly installed update to the Lenovo Power Managment Driver ( on my T460s. Since that driver (and only that driver mind you) was updated on the 14th of January 2020 on my computer it crashes on average 5 times a day. It worked perfectly prior to the update and that was the only change done to the computer.

So where can I find an older driver and how do I install it? Preferably I would like to get my hands on the following as it worked as expected with that one installed:

"Lenovo Power Managment Driver - 7/8/8.1/10 [64]   version"

And for the "have you tried..." :

* I have updated Windows 10 to latest update (as of 28th of January)

* I have updated all drivers (as of 26th of January)

* I have the latest Lenovo updates (as of the 23d of January)

* I have inspected the Windows installation integrity

* I have tested the hardware

AFAIK  you can only downgrade the PM  driver by using device manager.

Open device manager and look for Lenovo PM device in 'System Devices'. Open Properties, than go to driver tab and click on 'Roll back driver' and reboot.

Do not uninstall the PM Device, this may result in BSOD  during the next reboot.
