I just installed a Corsair Model CMFSSD-256GBG2D (A rebranded Samsung 256 GB SSD - you know - that really fast one) on my T400 7417-CTO. It really sped up my system, but, for some reason, when I shut down the system, and then restart the system using the power button (not a system restart using the start button in Windows), the system boots up to the Lenovo Screen, then gives me a flashing cursor, then all of a sudden restarts again, and continues in the same loop. at times it will restart up to 6 times before the hard drive finally kicks in. other times, I will enter BIOS, save and exit, and then it will reboot fine as well.
This is very annoying, and Ive gone to Corsair about it, and even they are stumped.
Does anyone know what I need to do to fix my problem?
By the way, the system is set to AHCI mode in SATA menu in Bios - In case you were wondering.
Otherwise, Im very happy with my pruchase. The Hard drive really Lives up to its advertising.
