Seem to have lost my "Perform Reset" button on battery maintenance

2017-09-01, 19:30 PM

My battery seems to be not long for this world, but my old trick of performing a battery reset doesn't seem to be available to me any longer. There used to be a button, I swear.

Any ideas or workarounds?

Sorry, I don't have a windows 7 system to look at, but the battery shows that it is in "fair" condition, which means problems in one or more cells.  A reset probably won't help. You probably just need a new battery.

That could be, certainly. But reset has worked to at least mitigate the problem for a while in the past, and extended the use.

If possible, would like to give it a shot. Probably more concerned that the button just isn't there, regardless.
