Software for the Qualcomm Gobi 2000 adapter

2010-01-22, 1:09 AM

I got a T410 with a Qualcomm Gobi 2000 adapter and wonder if there is any other software that can be used instead of Access Connections? The software have to support Windows 7 x64/x86 as well since that is the OS i will be using.

On other Thinkpads with the Ericsson F3507g i been using Ericsson Wireless Manager instead of AC that i found to work better. Hopefully there are some other options for the Qualcomm Gobi 2000 as well. Any advice for other software than AC would be appreciated.

Hi gan,

You should be able to make WWAN connections just using Windows, no other software required. I don't know who your provider is, but here's and example of the setup for AT&T in the US.

USB-C: Just cos it fits don't mean it works.
I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

My provider is Telenor in Norway and actually never thought about the idea of just using the features of Windows without any client. Just assumed i needed some kind of a client.

Thank you, I'll give it a try and see how it works.
