Re: Stains on my T410's screen after cleaning

I am not familiar with that product, but an electronics cleaner would likely disolve the surface of your screen, ruining it. An electronics cleaner would be used for cleanup after working on a circuit board.

Is it possible that the cleaner could disolve the surface? So, why in manual is written that I can clean the LCD??!

Re: Stains on my T410's screen after cleaning

I don't know about the translation from Polish to English, but to me, "electronics cleaner" means a strong solvent for cleaning circuitry. I use several, and they will all take the finish off plastic parts. They dull the finish on a palmrest if I spill any. I would certainly expect them to remove any anti-glare finish to ANY screen

Re: Stains on my T410's screen after cleaning

Maybe I put that in wrong way... The description says: OKULAN, sensitive Cleaner for optics:eyeglasses, monitors (TFT, LCD) etc. Apply on the surface by pressing, leave to react for a few seconds and dry with soft issue. This company has thier website, www.okulan.com but it's empty :/ I'm assuming, that warranty doesn't include this kind of defect ??

Re: Stains on my T410's screen after cleaning

Looks a bit shady to me; Google Search turns up no obvious references for OKULAN. Does the bottle indicate any of it's active chemicals?

Re: Stains on my T410's screen after cleaning

According to description on the bottle: Composition: "according to EU standardthe recommended ammount of amphotere tenside is less than 5%, without alcohol, produced on natural basis". Company address: Okulan, D - 20257 Hamburg, Germany. Maybe some user of this forum lives in Germany and could confirm existing that company??

Re: Stains on my T410's screen after cleaning

Can't find anything that seems relevant on google.de with the query OKULAN Hamburg Germany. There's also no English wikipedia equivalent of amphotere tenside (German article only).

EDIT: Apparently, "amphotere tenside" means "amphoteric surfactants", which sounds like a class of chemicals rather than a specific one.
