Starting Mobile Broadband

2010-03-08, 3:42 AM

Hi all, I am just starting to use my built in mobile broadband radio in my T500 (mid-2009) and have an empty SIM card slot under my battery. I ordered the built in radio in my computer, so I assume I just need to put a new SIM card into the slot and restart? do I need to change anything in the bios? I am not seeing anything listed in the ThinkVantage software under Mobile Broadband either, will this change when a SIM card is placed? Note - I am in Canada, and will be using a supplier such as Bell, Rogers or Telus (sigh),

cheers, thanks, new at this!

Yes, all you need to do is put the SIM card inside. You should use Access Connections to turn on the Ericcson modem then connect. I probably have the same specs as your T500. Good luck!
