T400 Non-LED WXGA+ Display?

With so much talk about the differences in the LED backlit displays on the T400s (Samsung vs LG), does anyone own the normal CCFL WXGA+ Display?

Thanks!

Re: T400 Non-LED WXGA+ Display?

Anyone? Just wondering how much there is to gain with the LED (besides brightness and power) as I've read so many complaints about the backlight overpowering the colors, also a case I've experienced with a WXGA LED by LG.

Re: T400 Non-LED WXGA+ Display?

I do and I like it, but the colors are a bit cold (too much blue maybe?) If you don't plan on doing photo editing on the internal display I think it is good to go. I couldn't compare it to an LED one though.

If you have the money, you should go for the LED one, the ccfl isn't great either...

Re: T400 Non-LED WXGA+ Display?

You can go to this page:

 http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=LOOK-WARNTY#sw

put in your machine's info, and click on the "parts originally shipped with this system" link, then get the FRU of the LCD from there and find the appropriate LCD manufacturer in the HMM.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

George

I got my FRU Number for the lcd, but there is no further manufacturer specification in the hardware manual?
