I just bought a T400 (2767-A17: T9400(2.53GHz), 2GB RAM, 250GB 5400rpm HD, 14.1in 1440x900 LCD, 256MB ATI Radeon HD3470, CDRW/DVDRW, Intel 802.11agn, Bluetooth, Modem, 1GB Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, Fingerprint reader, Camera, 6c Li-Ion, WinVista Business 32) a couple a weeks ago from the IBM outlet in New York. It is a redistributed unit. The day after I received it I wanted to do a Win XP downgrade and when restarting the computer -it would not restart. I sent it to the Lenovo service center here in Norway, and they replaced the system board. They re-tested the unit and found it to be ok (or so they said)and sent it back to me. I received it yesterday and I attempted to start it up right away with a fully charged battery. I could hear and see the computer starting up but the screen is dead -no video output. I tried connecting an external monitor, but with the same results.
Any suggestions -before I return it to the service center??
