T400s screen replacement question

Recently I cracked the screen on my T400s and am looking for a replacement. I'm mostly wondering about the strictness of the screen specs I need to follow when buying a replacement that is compatible.

My screen is labelled as LTN141BT08 with a P/N of 93P5702 and FRU of 93P5703

To get a compatible screen, must it have the exact same codes, or can I get one that simply has the same specs? I believe mine is a 14.1" LCD LED screen with WXGA+(I assume it is WXGA+ , but I don't know for sure.).  I've been looking at this screen as a good choice:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-Thinkpad-T400-14-1-Matte-LED-LCD-Screen-LTN141BT04-42T0504-42T0503-/1310...

but since it has different part numbers and is from a T400 as opposed to a T400s I am not sure whether it will be compatible or not.

Thanks is advance for any help!

Re: T400s screen replacement question

Hi Abstract,

I would suggest you to look At this the Harware Maintenance Manual first. It help you decide which Parts would best fit your machine.

Hope this helps.

Re: T400s screen replacement question

Possibly you have an answer already.  The T410 screen and I suppose also the T400 screen, that is the inside part with label  LTN141BT08,  is quite a bit thicker than the one for the T400s.  If you search at Ebay write "T400s" otherwise the T400 gets pushed up.
