My Thinkpad's cursor is having freezing issues after upgrading to win10. When I move the cursor, it once in a while freezes and it's not related to the trackpad or trackpoint. I plugged in an external mouse and had the same problem again. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, the problem is still there. I really don't know what else to do. I checked all the settings on synaptics, searched the whole internet. Still couldn't have found a solution for it.
Here on this link people with Lenovo laptops are having the same issue as well. Will Lenovo solve this problem and maybe put a new driver on the official site?

Hi! I have T430s and I had the same problem. Installation from the link above solved problem. My question is: Why "Lenovo System Update" does not install this driver?

this solution worked back then, BUT, nowadays when I try to uninstall the previous driver and restart my computer, it installs the same driver back and I happen to not be able to install the driver provided as an answer to my first question.
what could possible be the solution?

after quite a while, I'm still suffering from this issue and trying to find out a problem.
windows 10 installs back the OLD driver and there is just no way to use the computer with the very up to date version of the touchpad/trackpad driver.
I wonder how is it just simply possible? how can there be no way to solve it?
I'm begging for a permanent solution and I believe there is one.
