T410 fan Question

I have a Thinkpad T410 model 2518. I think it may be having fan issues. From time to time the machine will just shut off. It has a brand new battery so I know that’s not the issue.  While it often runs in the 60’s for temp for CPU and Motherboard it sometimes gets up to 81 – 91 for the CPU and 81 – 83 for the motherboard. Do you know what the normal temp range is for this computer? Would 81 and above be consdered a hot temp that could lead to these computer shut downs? I appreciate any insights. Thank you.

Re: T410 fan Question

most of the CPUs shut off about 100C, but 81-91 is very hot. When I was using a T410, I think I could hit mid-80's temperatures only when running one of the cpu-torture utilities that would stress all the cores at the same time. I would expect idle temps in the 40's or 50's
